Drew and Sam are actors. They haven’t won any Academy Awards yet, and neither of them is in line to be the new James Bond (sorry Sam), but between them they do have over half a century’s worth of experience in the industry. Many months ago a combination of boredom, significantly reduced work opportunities (thanks pandemic!) and overactive and under-stimulated imaginations inspired them to create a podcast, and somehow they’re still at it. Join the Drewling Samantics chaps every Sunday (or download and listen later) as they give an entertaining insight into how their industry works - from modelling to voiceover, theatre to film, and television to streamed media, the gents talk about all areas of performance artistry, giving an insider view that is sometimes humorous, often eye-opening or poignant, and at times just downright strange! With regular guest appearances and the odd special ‘on location’ segment, Drewling Samantics brings something unique and fresh to the world of podcasts from two normal blokes, working in a rather abnormal industry.

A gentleman of letters joins Drewling Samantics as this week’s fabulous guest. Ralph Jones is a journalist, author, script writer and comedian, and as if that wasn’t enough to keep him busy, he also crops up on various platforms as a performer and contributor. How does he fit it all in?!
Fortunately he’s full of energy, and to aid in keeping all his plates spinning as it were, Ralph has a great knack of seeing the world from a different and often very funny angle. His writing has appeared in national newspapers and magazines around the world, and he’s had the pleasure (mostly!) of interviewing celebrities and personalities of all kinds, feeding them many interesting and challenging questions, and receiving some interesting and challenging responses in return! His books are both funny and enlightening, lifting the lid on delightful unknown hobbies and professions, and inventing new unusual places that it is more than a joy to “visit”.
Erudite, witty and charming Ralph is another wonderful guest Drew and Sam are delighted to interview and share with their listeners and viewers. Oh and just as a side note, Ralph has a knack for winning competitions, with his most recent prize making for a surprising and complicated addition to his life...
