The One That Got Away
There has been quite a lot going on in the industry recently for Drew and Sam to cast their eyes over and pick apart. In this episode alone they discuss budget cuts, well timed but potentially inappropriate protests, useful and exciting investments, and a very British response to an abnormal occurrence. No matter how much caution and common sense a performer uses when auditioning, sometimes it is difficult not to get ahead of one’s self and start “spending the wages” in advance, or to begin to enjoy the role before actually officially landing it. Both Drew and Sam have experienced this and share their personal recollections, as well as referencing one or two outside of their own careers. And, they tend to be far rarer situations, but there are even times when a job has to be turned down, which you’d think it would be easy but, as one of the boys explains, it can be quite the opposite!
